e8urban were commissioned to prepare an independent urban design study to assess the potential for redevelopment of the Corrimal Coke Works Site to provide a new residential community with associated small scale retail services and public domain.

Consisting of approximately 18 hectares this former industrial site (the Site) is located 5.5kms north of the Wollongong CBD and 63.5km south of the Sydney CBD.

The Site is located between the Corrimal Railway Station on the Sydney Wollongong line to the East and the Major Arterial Road, Memorial Drive to the West providing excellent connectivity to the Site. 

The Site is also within walking distance to the Corrimal town centre (350m), local primary and secondary schools (500m) and community recreational facilities including sporting fields, Corrimal Pool, library and community centre (500m) and Corrimal Beach (1.1km).
