e8urban were commission to prepare a strategic overview of the Greater Parramatta to Olympic Peninsula Priority Growth Area to assist in initial discussion regarding potential solutions to the challenges of accommodating additional growth in jobs and housing within the existing area.

 

Key tasks included:

• Highlighting existing and ongoing background studies to assist high level Gap Analysis

 

• Study area analysis to illustrate: Land use, Change potential, Existing and proposed employment areas, Existing and proposed destinations

• Scale comparisons to benchmark against other urban areas and renewal initiatives 

​​

• Transport Data Zone Analysis to understand existing and projected populations and employment numbers

​​

• Mapping of current and potential transport and infrastructure projects in the Study Area, including:  High Speed Rail, Metro, Light Rail, Ferry, Bus corridors, Major road projects, Cycle infrastructure

• Identification of urban planning and design considerations, including: Public domain, Built form diversity, Activation and programming
