A playful 360° showcase exploring how walking through ten diverse landscape characters resets the mind, ignites creative thought, and enhances wellbeing.

Centred around a simple, ever-present walkway, Landscapes in Motion investigates the psychological and restorative impacts of environmental variety. Set within a continuously rotating 360-degree scene, the study seamlessly transitions through ten distinct landscape characters that range from dense forests to light-filled meadows. While the physical environments continuously morph around the viewer, the central pathway remains constant, serving as a unifying anchor through contrasting sensory experiences.

The project tests the thesis that navigating diverse contexts actively resets cognitive function, stimulates creative thought, and elevates psychological wellbeing. Rather than treating landscape as a static backdrop, the study frames movement as an active narrative process where spatial transitions trigger mental clarity and renewed focus.

Brought to life through motion graphics and dynamic 3D rendering, this Design Lab research demonstrates how we as designers can strategically sequence environmental character within master plans, urban parks, and linear corridors. Landscapes in Motion highlights the therapeutic power of micro-climate variations and spatial contrast, providing a compelling blueprint for designing healthier, more restorative civic infrastructure.
